While mom and dad are away....

Matt and I went on a "work" trip to Las Vegas.  Matt's company took us to Vegas for a long weekend. While Matt had some work things to do...I enjoyed the pool and actually read an entire book!

Here are a couple pictures from our trip and a couple "stolen" pictures from fun with Aunt Amy, Josephine, GeeGee Pam and Aunt Mindy.

Josh Groben played at the gala.

Along with Cheryl Crow...pretty fancy!

Back at home...this was happening.....

Thanks to Aunt Amy, David, Josephine, GeeGee Pam and Aunt Mindy for helping us to make this happen!  We had an awesome weekend away but we were more then ready to give our 3 babies lots of love when we got home!

Violet turns ONE!

I can't believe it's been a year since Violet joined us and yet it feels like she's always been apart of "us".    She fits right in and is very easy going.  We haven't been for her one year check up (we go in 2 days) but I'll update her weight when we do.

She is wearing size 12 months and some 18 month clothes.
She wears size 4 diapers.
She started officially walking right around the 11.5 months.  One day she went from mostly crawling and taking a handful of steps to fully walking/running.
She sleeps 11-12 hours at night and still takes 2 naps.
She had her very last bottle before bed on her actual birthday.  And.that.was.that.  She doesn't miss them at all.
She still takes a paci for nap and bedtime but that's about it.
She's found a love for a little Mickey Mouse doll and squeals with delight when she gets ahold of it and loves to give him hugs.
She loves Oliver and Vivian and follows them all over the house.  She loves to play in their rooms with them and doesn't like to be left out.
Violet is such a climber!  I can't turn my back for a second or she's on top of the table and she has no fear!
She's a little daddy's girl.  Loves him to bits and prefers his attention over anyone.  Warms my heart.
Happy birthday my sweet baby.  Don't get too big too fast.

Birthday party picture.

I am ONE today!

Trust me...this was the best picture I could get of the 3 of them!

Birthday cupcake on my birthday.

Sweet and Sweet.

Summer Fun

A mini firework show put on by Daddy.

We actually woke the kids up to enjoy the many, many huge fireworks going off all around us.

Riding the carousel at the museum.

Digging for dinosaur bones.

Look at me...I'm a dinosaur!

A trip to the Zoo with Josephine!

Picnic and splash pad.

Just a boy reading his map.

This summer we had a "mommy's helper" who helped me out a couple days a week.  Olivia was wonderful with kids (I actually babysat her and her two sisters when she was little).  She would go places with us or stay back and play with Violet so I could give the "big kids" some more "big kid" time.  And I also got to do things like grocery shop alone, get a haircut and go to the dentist while she sat with them during nap time.  It was Fabulous!

A walk at the park.

The Hursh trio.

Best buds.

Playing with friends funs toys.

Girl talk with Chandler Ludwig

Vivian and Oliver turn 3!

Our big kids really are getting BIG!  We had a lot fun celebrating their 3rd birthday.

They each got "big kid" bikes.

We had to take them out for a spin right after breakfast...still in their PJ's.

And then we had a fun lunch at Chuck e Cheese on their actual birthday.

And after that, swimming at the YMCA!

We ended the night with a birthday cupcake.

Then we had a little party a few days later.

Me and my girls.

GeeGee and all the 3 year olds!

Oliver testing out the new trampoline!

Getting ready to blow out the candles on the Dora and Diego cake.

Vivian getting ready to test out her new dress-up shoes.

Happy birthday my special babies.  Celebrating their special day is always fun but the gift of being their mommy is the best.
