Who's body is this?

So it's been a while since I've given all my blogging friends a peak into my ever growing girth.  And taking a look back down memory lane I am nearly the same size at 23 weeks with one baby as I was with 2.  Oh well, what goes on will come off.  As I've mentioned before, I don't pass up a cookie and it's best if I just don't buy them because then I won't eat them.  And I won't even begin to tell you about the obsession I had with Shamrock Shakes at McDonald's.  Thanks to my wonderful husband for a few late night runs.  Tomorrow I turn 24 weeks and I now have a viable baby growing inside me (excuse the NICU nurse coming out).  I am no where near ready to meet this little lady but yet so excited to see what she looks like.  Will she look like her big sister who was a scrawny 3 pound 9 oz little bit or her fuller cheeked brother who weighed 5 pounds 13 oz?  I had a very vivid dream a few nights ago that I made it to 38+1 with this baby and I was very excited!  I hope it's a good omen and I'm using the power of positive thinking to carry this baby to term!  I still feel good, I don't jump up off the floor quite as fast as I did 6 months ago or sleep quite the same but I'm holding on strong.  I started having ankle swelling at 15 weeks with O & V, yet with this pregnancy I am happy to report no swelling to date so far!  I think by 24 weeks I couldn't even wear from my wedding rings, but that too is no problem!  With O & V I started contracting at 22 weeks and cut back to working 8 hour shifts.  While I have had a few contractions here and there (like 6 or 7 total) I am still working my 12 hour night shifts and holding on strong.  I knew with one baby some things would definitely be easier, however chasing 2 toddlers presents a different twist.  I enjoy being pregnant and knowing that this is the last time I ever will get to enjoy such a miracle growing inside me I am just enjoying every roll, punch, kick, twitch this little lady has to offer.

The kids (and I) had hand/foot/mouth disease again a few weeks ago and this is sickly Vivian enjoying having her Daddy brush her hair.  So sweet.

Vivian taking Oliver for a wagon ride...she insisted.

The kids sampled their first oatmeal cream pie (remember their mommy is pregnant?!? there is all sorts of junk in this house.  Matt told me I was buying cookies "like they were the last ones ever to be made") and they approved!  Oliver gobbling his half right up and Vivian savoring every last bite in her grubby little paw!

Vivian enjoying rocks.

Oliver loves flowers!

"Who me? I didn't dump the entire box of cheese-its?!" -Guilty

Pushing the lawnmower and the baby stroller and enjoying the beautiful weather!

They both like to "pretend sleep"

I made them a bean box and they love to dig, find hidden bugs and run their fingers through the beans.

Talking about ducks, geese, birds, fish, water with their Daddy!

Both Vivian and Oliver are so much fun right now.  The say new words every day.  Oliver is still into colors and loves the movie Rio.  Vivian is still into her babies (and has been known to put them in time out with they are naughty, too funny!) and loves all animals.  We have been doing lots of puzzles, playing outsides with brooms, shoves and sidewalk chalk nearly every day!

Our babies are turning into big kids!

Who let our babies grow up so fast?  They are 20 months already and before we know it, they will be 2!  Their vocabulary grows every day.  Oliver is into colors right now and Vivian is into animals.  We color nearly 5 times a day.  Oliver wakes up every morning asking to "color".  More often then not we've colored before we've even eaten breakfast.  Vivian enjoys looking out the window for "birds" "geese" or "dogs".  While reading books, she will hug the book pages with animals on them.  These two babies are turning into little people.  Oliver is still our bulldozer who loves reading and watching his favorite show "Sid the Science Kid" and Vivian still loves to dote after her babies.  She chases Oliver around offering to change his diaper and would prefer to hold his sippy cup for him, as though she's feeding him, and he's happy to oblige (with the sippy cup holding at least not so much the diaper changing...pictures to come).  They are good at making "trades" with one another (most of the time) and they are getting better and better at sharing.  And I can't remember if I've posted this yet (for my own memory) but Vivian has now had an ear infection in each ear and Oliver is currently on his 3rd ear infection because he had bilateral ear infections the first time.  So both have had 2 rounds of antibiotics now since January.  Hopefully we are just building our immune systems!
Enjoy a few pictures!

They would swing by their ankles all day if their daddy had the energy to do so!

Lots of squeals of delight from both!

Very serious about their dot paints.

Concentration.

Bath time is still a favorite.

Big girl with pig tails!

So cute yet not really in the mood for a photo shoot.

Pregnancy Update

So due to a crazy week 16 (work, husband out of town = lack of photographer, chasing 2 toddlers etc) I didn't get a picture of my ever growing belly. Rest assured I looked about the same as I did at week 17 :).  I feel good and have gotten some of my energy back in my second trimester.  Like I've said before, this pregnancy is going fast, too fast!  Like with my first pregnancy, the only thing I would say I'm craving is sweets.  I could eat cookies, cake or ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  And just for my memory...I've gained about 10 pounds so far.

We had our big ultrasound the day I turned 19 weeks and 6 days.  Like with my first pregnancy, I had a in-depth ultrasound and fetal ECHO.  We are happy to report our baby measures right on track and its heart looks great.  And remember how I said I wasn't sure I was going to be able to wait to find out the gender of our little baby...well, I couldn't wait!  After working Matt over a little bit I convinced him we should find out if it was a boy or a girl.  He then thought maybe we should keep it to ourselves until we delivered...I had to kinda "talk him into" sharing our good news.  I just wanted everyone to be as excited as we are so with that being said...I am so excited to tell you that we are having a....

This is actually a good depiction of how life really is...one baby in my arms at all times and one trying to steal the paper in my hands.

Still have a little lady, Vivian, eager to be picked back up.

Girl!
